Freda and Renee is a story about two exceptional African American girls in their last year of high school who received early college admission to two different schools for their excellence in history and law. Best friends, Freda and Renee choose not to attend college early so that they can spend senior year of high school together. But their plans are derailed when they are abducted on their way home from a Halloween party by an unidentified flying object. They are sent back in time and find themselves in 1886 standing on a podium next to Harriet Tubman with newfound superpowers. On each adventure they run into historical figures whose places in history have been altered by an unknown source. The girls must correct the course of history in order to return back to their own time.
